Information on the 2026/27 Fall Influenza (Flu) and COVID Vaccines

• The Fall immunization campaign for the updated COVID and influenza vaccines will start on October 19th, 2026

• The influenza (flu) vaccine is free for all Albertans 6 months of age and older

• COVID vaccines are free for eligible Albertans this year (see eligibility below). If you are 12 or older and not eligible, you can purchase the COVID vaccine at our pharmacy*

Booking your Influenza (Flu) and COVID vaccine appointment

• You can book your COVID and influenza vaccine online or by calling 403-300-2997

• Both COVID and Influenza (Flu) vaccine will be available starting on October 19th, 2026

• We are able to provide both the COVID and influenza(flu) vaccines on the same visit, you will only need one appointment booking for either vaccine or both if you prefer

• You may bring a plus one with you for your vaccine appointment time

  
  

Influenza (Flu) vaccine eligibility:

• Anyone 6 months of age and older can receive the influenza (flu) vaccine free of charge*

• Seniors, pregnant individuals, young children, First Nations, Métis and Inuit individuals, and people with chronic health conditions are at higher risk of severe illness and are strongly encouraged to get immunized

  
  

  *Pharmacists can only vaccinate persons ≥ 5 years of age. Children 6 months to 4 years can be immunized at public health by calling Health Link at 811

COVID vaccine eligibility:

• If it has been at least 3 months since your previous COVID vaccine, you are eligible for the new COVID vaccine

• Publicly funded COVID vaccines are available to Albertans who are:

  • 65 years of age and older

  • Residents of long-term care and other congregate living settings

  • Individuals with underlying medical conditions, including immunocompromising conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart, lung, kidney or liver disease, cancer on active treatment, obesity, ADHD, and others)

  • Pregnant

  • Experiencing homelessness

  • First Nations, Inuit and Métis individuals

  • Health care workers and other care providers

  • Teachers eligible under the Back to School Act

• Not eligible? Individuals 12 years and older can purchase the COVID vaccine at our pharmacy

  
  

  *Pharmacists can only provide COVID vaccines to persons ≥ 12 years of age. Children 6 months to 11 years can be immunized at public health by calling Health Link at 811
